Here I come! I found some bugs in the mod 3.0. Maybe some of them are already known.
First of all, my configuration is: game (en) + patch 1.1 (en) + mod 3.0.

- The buttons 'races and unit' and 'Gameplay' inside the 'encyclopedia' menu brings to a black screen, without the possibility to return to the previous menu.
- The ranger for the undead faction has same strange behavior: the trasformation magic that change the vampire to flying state is without image, name and hint. By clicking it, a new magic appears but even this is without image, name and hint. If I click again the first magic, the hero try to land. At the end of the process, the vampire vanish. In the version 2.4.8.1 it worked perfectly.
- Summoning workers in flying state (Undead ranger), does not summon any workers (in the previous version, in flying state the hero could not use magic)
- The internet game crashes on loading (this should be already known)
- In Skirmish mode, the 'Great Invasion' in 'Battles' lead to an empty map.

Yep! Great configuration.

- Its because Encyclopedia is not finished. I'll work on that. I can make disable the button fro you.
- OMG! When I released it I knew there will be tons of bugs. But really its thanks to you that I hit up with these. As they say 2 heads are better than one. Thank you for that info. I'll fix that as well.
- And that too will be fixed.
- I have no clue as to why this happens. Use the original HoAE with patch 1.1 and mod version 2.4.8.1 to play online if it needs be.
- The Map is being developed, I was planning on releasing such battles (Single missions) and the like. Along with some Internet mission maps for the game.

You were very helpful. Thank you so much smile . Please continue your support. I'll fix these bugs and will put a link here so that you can download it. Keep reporting and you can gain ranks in this site (really just a system so that people help me out. Because I am a human and I can't polish the game myself, I would need helpful people like you so desperately).

While playing, an assert() stopped the game:

This ones are minor bugs, maybe unfinished task:
- When I select the main building of a race, above the minimap appear 3 icons, but only one of them has a tooltip explaining the meaning (enable/disable autofire)
- The bottons for the selection of the behaviour of the toops seem not to work, remaining fixed on "Normal mode"

Also can you explain which map you were playing on? When you got the assertion error that is...

- The other two icons are for "Peasant Autowork - Enable/Disable" and "Select Idle Peasants - Enable/Disable".
- Ah...half-done work. I'll remove that and post a fix now.

Here's a detailed report:
The map was "Flei Lake", the game options were: speed slow, 3 lives, total annihilation, resources 1000000, game mode default.
I was playing with the elves race and hero type ranger. The enmy was easy and random.
The error occurred while I was defending from a dwarven assault.

Among other things, I noticed that settings the resources to 1000000 give you only 10000 units.
One last things about the interface of the "Altar" of the Mechanics. The Dynamite spell is completely covered by other icons.

Hmmm....Hangphyr too reported such an error. Wonder why, maybe because of all the loose ends in the engine. I'll see to it as well.

Only 10000 units? Okay I'll need to compile a new engine to fix that. So bear with me on that please... and thanks for the feedback. smile

The last test session uncovered other bugs:
- After using the magic "call for transport" of the Cryo mage, apprears a new empty magic
- Lost the icons of the Hero's level-up bonus for the mage of every race. In case of Sols, lost for every king of hero
- Switching the weapon of the elves ranger from bow to sword, the hero continues to shoot arrows
I don't know if this are bugs:
- The hearts rapresenting the lives of the hero for the sols and the dwarfs are iced-hearts
- The usual icons of the previous post (the one of the main building) hide the informations of players' population
For today, I close the test session.

Fixes for fix version 3.1.1

- The buttons 'races and unit' and 'Gameplay' inside the 'encyclopedia' now don't work, preventing the bug from happening
- Undead Ranger (vampiress - Marsha De'l Brizake) and her transformations were reverted to version 2.4.7.2
- In Skirmish mode, the 'Great Invasion' in 'Battles' will continue to stay like that unless I give you the map.
I'll release that after works.
- Peasant Control/Auto shoot icons now have tool tips
- The buttons of units states removed/disabled. Its only needed if you have formations like Cossacks 2 and Alexander (from GSC)
- The silence ability no longer appears as a new spell to disrupt card slots.
- Icons should work properly now. Level cap increased to 402 like in 2.4.7.2
- Elhant's weapons are now fixed. Weapons for Flame master (sols) are now functional.
(Adding new Sol Hero - Archbishop (mage) ~ Work-in-progress. Credits for the hero models - GSC)

- new text added TEXT\ADD2\add7.txt . Some important texts can be translated from that file.

- The mechanics and Sols share the same interface. I am making a Sol border but it is displayed wrong every time.

Yeah! It works perfectly!! Great work, and is so little time!

But the same assert continues to crash the game... This time in Arena map, but always during an assault to the enemy base. It seems that the error occurs when there are too many character in the screen. Maybe the 'Index' variable is out of range? It's hard to say...

While I'am here, I report another strange behavior. Undead ranger (yes, she is my favorite heroine) can land on water after a transformation. This is not a big problem, because she can walk on water only to reach a shore. But sometimes she can't find a path and remain on the water. The Cryo mage, has the same strange behavor when he use the "call for transport" spell.

Go on, Flame Master!!

Thank you, I was busy with the site all day. I am working on making another fix.

I have decided on making a secondary weapon for Marsha (Undead Mage). A wing collection, to make her attack with wings or claws.

Assertion Errors: Can't exactly pinpoint the error here. There is a problem with a shader file I modded, so it could be that. There are also a lot of files and unit md's missing, it could be that too. It could also be that your graphics settings are high.

Well, anyone that can fly can land in water too it seems. There is really no fix for it, unless I am some super braniac ultra level genius who can make miracles with C++.

Anyway lemme make an attempt into fixing some of these errors too. And stay tuned for more updates. Really without you Ros 3.0 won't have taken flight. Thank you soo much once again. We should work to make a larger community for this game as well. Currently I am under so much pressure as well. I have like 3 or 4 mega school works undone, an approaching exam. But for this game, my time is always frozen.

On it! I meant I am gonna try and fix it. I am sure it will be hard but I might at least try. smile . Also, December 22 is my birthday, and coincidentally HoAE's release date in Asia. So I'll make an Anniversary edition of the mod and release it on my birthday for testers (Idea courtesy to Necros).

Good idea!

By the way, I found a huge bug: Sol's slaves does not collect stones. They work on rocks and bring'em back to the main base, but the counter doesn't increase!
This bug is also in the previous version of the mod.

I'm waiting the anniversary edition!!

Look at the scripting of Cossacks 2 BFE turtorial, and learn turotial scripting.
