Can't change HoAE1 maps with RoS editor to play in HoAE1?

Hey Guys

Is it not even possible to change anything in HoAE original maps? I mean if I load Bloody Steams(7) in RoS Editor to simply change 1 monster spawn or as simple as put in a statue, then all hills, water and cliffs are gone. Whole map is just plain even ground when playing it in HoAE original game?

So you can't make maps for HoAE1? Not even alter simple things?

Well even tho I only load a map in RoS then save it, every landscape is gone then. How did people make those playermade maps I downloaded on this site that I can actually play in HoAE1?

They made it using HoAE1 ofcourse. To get to the editor in HoAE 1,
1)Go to the Main menu
2)Hold Control key and
3)Click on the 'A' in "Heroes of Annihilated Empires" title
"A Hopeless heart is the Devil's workshop"
